In March, 2025, the freeze on this program lifted and the first 4 of 50 buses were delivered to Kanawha County School District under funding Round 2 of the EPA’s Clean School Bus Program. To date, 22 have been deployed!
The Round 2 award includes $18.6 million for 7 West Virginia school districts to deploy 50 all-electric zero-emission buses manufactured by American workers in South Charleston at GreenPower Motor Company Inc.
This program is improving air quality, increasing cost savings and energy efficiency, and creating local manufacturing jobs.
