The Oak Run project is Ohio's largest solar project and the nation's largest agrivoltaic project ever. The project boasts 800 MW of solar panels alongside 300 MW of energy storage capacity. Spanning 6000 acres in Madison County, this $1 billion project will harness solar energy and feature battery arrays for consistent power supply. This project will generate thousands of labor union jobs, with more than 60 long-term positions focused on operations and maintenance.
The project will contribute approximately $7.2 million per year to Madison County and local school districts.
