Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant will enable the region to fill crucial gaps in the EV charging network, supporting environmentally friendly transportation for regional travel and tourism.

Sustainable Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC) is a Regional Council of Governments that provides public energy services to member communities across Ohio. SOPEC's project brings together a multitude of partners, representing a mix of rural, urban, and suburban communities throughout the Southern Ohio region.

The project will create 50 new charging staions and 230 charging ports, boost regional tourism, and build inclusive community engagement.
