Swiftsure is a battery storage facility capable of storing and dispatching up to 650 MW of power to New York homes and businesses and will create 100 good-paying local jobs.

These batteries charge from the grid when power demand is low and provide much-needed dispatchable electricity when demand is high, helping balance and stabilize the grid, especially during extreme weather events.

Once completed, Swiftsure will be capable of storing enough power for 500,000 homes, more than all the homes on Staten Island.
