Hyosung HICO plans to invest approximately $51 million, with $38 million qualifying under Section 48C for the construction of an additional building adjacent to the current facility, and enhancements to each production process to boost production capacity and loading rates.
Hydro Aluminum will construct a new $95 million aluminum recycling facility adjacent to its existing plant in the historic energy community of Henderson, Kentucky. The plant will produce Hydro's proprietary HyForge aluminum forging stock for use by automakers in producing high strength, light weight suspension components. Through novel production processes and use of significant amounts of post-consumer scrap, the HyForge material will carry a carbon footprint more than 30% below existing material in the U.S. market.
Highland Materials a unique, patent protected silicon purification technology to produce solar grade polysilicon at less than standard cost and with a 90% reduction in carbon emissions compared to other major manufacturers. Highland will produce 16,000 Metric Tons (MT/year) of solar silicon initially, increasing to 20,000 MT in four years - the equivalent of 11 GW of solar cells.
Hellenic Cables Americas intends to build Project Argo, a new state-of-the-art cable manufacturing facility in Baltimore City, Maryland. Project Argo is the first-of-its-kind manufacturing facility in the U.S. dedicated to manufacturing underwater and underground cables for Offshore Wind and Grid Modernization applications. It addresses the 21st-century, growing energy transition market with high-tech products made in a modern, clean, low-noise, ultra-low-emissions operation. Project Argo will be built on a 36-acre vacant, brownfield, waterfront property in Wagners Point, Baltimore. This site was selected for its deep-water access required for the specialized cable-lay vessels, its proximity to Baltimore's port, extensive logistics infrastructure and labor pool as well as its mid-Atlantic location, ideal to serve all offshore wind projects across the East Coast.
TimberHP makes building insulation from waste wood fiber as an alternative to fiber glass and foam. High performing and non-toxic, TimberHP is renewable, recyclable and the only scalable insulation solution with a negative carbon footprint. When operating at full capacity, TimberHP Madison will produce almost 20 tons of product an hour, utilize over 250,000 green tons of softwood residuals per year, generate $168M of revenue, and employ 144.
Gunnison Copper - Nuton is a partnership comprised of Gunnison Copper Corp. fka Excelsior Mining Arizona, Inc. (?Gunnison Copper?), and Nuton LLC (?Nuton?), a Rio Tinto technology venture. Both Gunnison and Rio Tinto have historically focused on copper extraction and production, investing in developing more sustainable practices. Gunnison Copper will undertake operations at the Johnson Camp Mine in Arizona using the Nuton Technologies to recover hard to extract primary sulfide ore. Expanding existing facilities, the Project will produce 99.999% pure, Grade A copper cathode, which is ready for domestic manufacturers. The Nuton Technologies produce a low-impact copper cathode compared to conventional technologies.

The GlassPoint project will reduce 760,000 metric tons of CO2 annually at a southern California industrial facility by using GlassPoint?s proprietary concentrating solar and thermal storage technology. The project will generate over 54% of the process heat requirement, reducing 760,000 metric tons per year of CO2, preserving 400 operational jobs and 400 indirect and induced jobs while delivering cost savings and environmental benefits.
eVAC Magnetics leads manufacturing of rare earth permanent magnets in the Western Hemisphere with the advancement of its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Sumter, SC, projected to create 300 new jobs, with operations beginning in the fall of 2025. eVAC, which is part of the Vacuumschmelze Group, produces rare earth neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets, which are critical to automotive, defense, industrial and renewable energy applications.
