Funding comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act via the EPA's Environmental Collaborative Problem Solving (EJCPS) and DOE's Buildings UP Competition (https://appvoices.org/2023/10/12/buildings-upgrade-prize/).

Appalachian Voices has partnered with Clinchco, Dante, Dungannon, Pennington Gap, and Pound to propose community-driven resilience initiatives. The team will also focus on energy efficiency challenges in buildings across Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Tazewell, Wise counties, and the City of Norton, VA.`

These awards are designed to aid economic transition, tackle environmental justice issues, and prioritize resident engagement in redevelopment.
